The accelerating effects of climate change are forcing the wine industry, especially those who see wine as an agricultural product rather than an industrial beverage, to take decisive steps to counter or adapt to the shifts. Putting that aside however, even though I’m not the best at puzzle games, I really did enjoy the story of the game. It might be because I personally don’t have the patience to solve puzzles and walk around environments trying to think about how to unlock the next chapter. I especially liked the music that Larry and Sal listened to on his radio, considering that I’m not entirely a huge metal music fan.įor me, I thought the game’s pacing was a little slow. The music of the game was also very fitting, and I liked it a lot. It is a game that is supposed to make you uncomfortable and feel a little spooked from certain events. However, I think that the art style is the way it is due to the story and plot of the game. I’m personally not attracted to its style, as some of the visuals were grotesque and not very attractive to look at. The art style of the game is very unique, and it’s an art style that I haven’t seen before. By doing so, it won’t muddle the story and you may be less confused than you were if you try to unlock all the hidden content in each episode. Unlocking these do add onto the plot, allowing you to gain more insight into the story, while also feeling accomplished of discovering something that was cryptic and subtle. Examples being unlockable mini-games, achievements for certain dialogue, and secret items. Despite it being mostly a visual novel, there are a lot of hidden achievements and content that you could discover and unlock within each episode. As you get further into the game, the characters also start to age, alongside changes to the environment. Each act is representative of a different period of Sal’s life when he reaches Nockfell. Starting with episode one, where you are put into a disturbing dream sequence with Sal and his bandaged face. This group of friends supports and helps Sal with the mysteries that unravel and the spirits that are lurking in Nockfell.ĭue to it being an episodic game, there are five different acts for the story. Todd is the engineer of the group, Ashley is an artist who craves solving mysteries, and Larry is his best friend that lives in the apartment complex with Sal. Some of the other characters that are in Sal’s circle of friends are Todd, Ashley, and Larry. Its main purpose is to tell the story of our main character, Sally Face, or Sal, about his adventures in the Addison apartments and other mysteries around the town. There are not many fighting scenes or action scenes, mostly visual scenes to tell the story. I feel that the game is more of a visual novel with some puzzles to do than an RPG or action game. This means that you move from side to side only. You don’t need to move the camera, as it is a linear camera angle. Later in the game, you will be able to use your video game system to find spirits, which will use the “Y” and “R” buttons for interaction. “X” is for looking at your inventory and what tasks you need to do. ![]() You just use the left joystick to move, and you can use “A” to interact with things. The controls of the game are very simple. Sal and his friends unfortunately discover something terrible after a string of mysterious murders that casts over their small town. He uses a handheld video game system to speak with the dead and learn their stories. It follows the unsettling adventure of a boy named Sal with a prosthetic face. Inspired by 1990’s cartoons and personal nightmares, it is a five-part, episodic series that is a psychological, adventure, puzzle game. ![]() Sally Face is a Nintendo Switch and PC game developed and published by Portable Moose. 5/4/2023 0 Comments Thessa teodoro![]() The basic argument for the identification is the use of form of the verb ΄ἐκστροβέω΄, which occurs according to TLG only in texts of the learned emperor. The paper identifies the excerpts from Cod. Apart from that, the author rises an important question of the employment of Skoutariotes' Chronicle by later historians. The additional details provided by Skoutariotes are corroborated with the information we find in other surviving sources, a fact which gives his testimony much more significance than previously believed. The differences in the accounts of the two writers can be explained by Skoutariotes' employment of other sources, unknown to us today, and also by the fact that he included his eye-witness account in the Chronicle he compiled. In respect to Michael VIII, however, Skoutariotes tended to mitigate the excessive commendation of Akropolites by omitting certain epithets, or, by a careful word play that sometimes resulted in completely opposite statements compared with the ones we find in Akropolites. Skoutariotes expressed positive attitude towards the Laskarids in the praises of their imperial virtues. The greatest divergence from the text of Akropolites is in the portrayal of the Laskarid emperors and the first Palaiologos, Michael VIII. The Chronicle of Theodore Skoutariotes relies on the historical work of George Akropolites to a great extent, although significant additions to or omissions from Akropolites' narrative can be noticed.
